Mission
The mission of the East Liberty Family Health Care Center is to witness to God's love, known in Jesus Christ, by offering quality whole person health care to all, especially to the poor.
Our Convictions are:
- Jesus, attested to in Holy Scripture, is the Way, the Truth, and the Life, who brings all healing. Following Jesus includes both contemplation (personal and corporate) and action. Whole-person health care aspires to minister to every aspect of being human, including body, mind, spirit, heart, and social situation.
- Community is necessary for healing. Because of this, we work with others (churches, social agencies) and encourage our patients to join healing communities of value to them. Because of this, we give priority to building community within the staff, knowing that ministry is impossible without personal and corporate growth in Christ.
- Health care is a ministry in a business environment. Because of this, we pledge ourselves to be as efficient as possible, always giving our first priority to our prayerful, clinical judgment of what is needed for healing. While we desire to work with all possible payers, we know that we depend upon God's love to continue our work.
Our Core Values are:
- Christ-centered
"We believe in and are committed to Jesus Christ in all we do. We are dedicated to caring for others in the manner He cares for us, partnering with the Body of Christ." - Prayer
"We access God's presence through prayer & worship, celebrating our limitations and His greatness, sharing our thanks and our needs, and seeking His help and direction." - Responsibility
"We take responsibility for the gifts we have been given and the ministry in which we serve, seeking to efficiently use resources entrusted to us while always searching for new ways to improve." - Family
"We are a community in service together, united as members of God's family; respecting, sharing with, and offering support to one another." - Service
"We are called to compassionately serve others by providing whole-person health care, which includes listening to needs and responding with the necessary medical, emotional, and spiritual support." - Wholeness
"We acknowledge our limitations, place a priority on personal growth, and seek a sustainable balance in our lives."
